This is in response to some of the negligent, irresponsible, and sometimes ignorant letters I have read. (i.e. Kelseyville Indians need a Turban, Record-Bee, Feb. 26).
I feel that people need to really stop in the midst of what is going on in our world and ask themselves ? should I be upset over such insignificant issues when people are dying in the name of ignorance and negligence. By this I mean, people should not be wasting time worrying about the name of a mascot or a town, or who supports what party or who doesn”t. I think people need to seriously address their conscience and ask themselves what is right. Everyone no matter what side they stand on should know what is right and if they haven”t figured that out they need to seriously do some research before writing a letter to the editor.
In the midst of an irresponsible government that at its worst has waged an unjust war, I think all of us need to educate ourselves and attempt to practice a little tolerance. Put a little tolerance in the place of ignorance and maybe, just maybe everyone can begin to understand where the opposite party stands. Until then, I will do my best. God Speed. In closing for those of you who haven”t figured it out yet, read a book.
