KELSEYVILLE — The North Coast Section has honored Kelseyville High School”s varsity girls” basketball team for compiling the best GPA in Division IV during the 2007-08 season.
The Knights” 3.67 GPA not only was the best in Division IV, but second best in the NCS regardless of division.
Team members are Megan Andre, Allyson Brown, Amanda Horne, Sam Mattern, Maille McCallister, Amanda Mueller, Ashley Mueller, Skyler Olsen, Monique Santana and Jodi Snider.
Also receiving honors were Kelseyville”s varsity boys” basketball team (3.40) and the varsity girls” soccer team (3.36).
“I am proud to have our student athletes recognized for such an honor,” Kelseyville High principal Matt Cockerton said. “This exemplary effort is a credit to the students, parents and teachers who work so hard to balance schedules and meet the challenge of both athletics and academics.”
Each of the three honored teams will receive pennants that will hang in the high school gymnasium.
Kelseyville”s volleyball team received a similar award last fall.
