BOONVILLE — Bryan Edwards and Ryan Richardson combined to strike out 15 batters on Tuesday as the Clear Lake High School junior varsity baseball team beat the Anderson Valley varsity 4-2 in a non-league game at Boonville.
Clear Lake (2-0) also beat John Swett”s varsity 4-3 in a scrimmage on Saturday at Lakeport.
Edwards, the winning pitcher, worked the first four innings and allowed one run on two hits. He struck out eight and walked two. Richardson relieved and struck out seven batters over the final three innings.
Richardson and Tanner Mansell each had a double and a RBI for the Cardinals. Jason Edwards and Ryan Grady added singles.
