LAKEPORT — Opening night of “The Solid Gold Cadillac” at the Soper Reese Community Theatre will feature a champagne gala and the classic battle between corporate greed and the little guy. What more could you ask out of an evening”s entertainment?
Put that together with the fact that this is a comedic romp set in the 1950s starring our local grand dame of theater, Joan Holman, and the fact that this is the very first theater performance in the Soper Reese Community Theatre and you have a package that can not be rivaled in this area!
Lakeport Community Players” production of “The Solid Gold Cadillac” has the age-old appeal of four evil, corporate dragons pitted against a modern day “Joan of Arc,” our Joan Holman! Do you have any doubt about who will win out in the end? Oh, yes, but how?
With all the heroes and heroines feeling strong and the villains ready to be hissed, “The Solid Gold Cadillac” will cruise to its grand opening at 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, continuing its run 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8, Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15; and 2 p.m. Sundays, March 9 and 16 in the Soper Reese Communty Theatre in Lakeport. The opening-night champagne gala, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., is free for all ticket holders.
Reserved seating will be $15 and $12 for LCP/LCRT members, seniors and students. General seating will be $12 and $10 for LCP/LCRT members, seniors and students.
