In response to Kyleen Erickson”s letter dated March 5, I would like to say that as a Christian, I find it offensive to my faith when you say “once upon a time, words out of the Christian Bible WERE our laws”.
The words from the Christian Bible ARE my laws ,in particular, the 10 commandments, and probably the laws of the majority of Americans. As far as gay marriage, is it “intolerant” of me to say I don”t agree with it and it is wrong based on my biblical (law) beliefs? I believe as a Christian, I have a responsibility to “love my neighbors” but I also have a right to defend my beliefs as they come under attack.
