I was a Board President of the Clearlake Riviera Community Association from June 2002 till June 2003. The term “Consequences” quoted in a previous letter to the editor (Record-Bee, March 6) seems to mean “I”m in charge and you will obey.”
Over the past five years, there has been in the vicinity of a million dollars collected. What does the Clearlake Riviera Community Association have to show for it? One old building a couple of parking lots, and an empty lot?
Patterson being head of the Architectural Planning has held his “Kangaroo Courts” and has taken property owners out of good standing so they can not hold a board seat or vote. He has minimized the individual for the state in a typical Politburo fashion, and he has stagnated investment with a group of petty offenses so he can feel he has some type of power.
All this association delivers now is perpetual wars that are lining lawyers pockets. I have lived in this community since 1986 and have seen this before. Many, including myself, would like to see it put to a vote to keep or disband the Clearlake Riviera Community Association with all the property owners and home owners.
And that vote should include the ones that the association took out of good standing because they stood up to Patterson, and his cronies. They provide no services outside of harassment.
