“You”re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be an evening of hilarious fun for the young to the young at heart. Spend an evening examining life”s triumphs and not so triumphant moments through the eyes of America”s favorite 5 year olds, the Peanut”s Gang.
The CLHS drama department presents a cast of some of the best talent at Clear Lake High School. Claire Ando dons a baseball cap as Charlie Brown. Her last stage performance found her playing a lead role as the youngest daughter, Chava from last fall”s Lake County Repertory Theatre and the Lakeport Community Players” “Fiddler on the Roof.”
Mary Ruffcorn plays Lucy. No stranger to the stage, Ruffcorn is the Bank of America Award Plaque Winner in Fine Arts. Danielle Howard tinkles the ivories as Schroeder, and her many years of involvement in a variety of musical endeavors is evident on stage.
Alissa Iaccino, as Peppermint Patty, brings to the cast her years of musical theatre experience in Southern California, before moving to Lake County two years ago.
Oliver Leighton tumbles his way into character as Joe Cool Snoopy. A state and regional gymnastics champion, Leighton always has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Linus is played by Thomas Cano. Although he”s a first timer to the theatrical stage, he has years of experience as a performer with the CLHS concert and Jazz Bands.
Pam Bradley, CLHS English and drama teacher, directs this witty production with much enthusiasm with the help of Jill Jernigan (musical director) and Shannon Hensler (choreographer.)
