In response to John Hall”s letter concerning the health insurance pullout in Lake County, as far back as five years ago I was forced to scramble twice for a national insurer and for less coverage. I recently submitted a letter giving a method for universal health care that would lower cost and level the playing field.
With Medicare absorbing 60 percent of the healthcare dollar and most of our services socialized any way, what”s the downside? Police, Fire, Education and many others are already socialized. If our less than stellar legislative branch could let go of the lobbyists long enough, it could be done. Personally I think a single lollypop at a playground would have a better chance.
