LAKEPORT — K.C. White and Nate Secrest won in straight sets in singles, but the Clear Lake Cardinals fell 3-2 to Anderson Valley in a non-league tennis match on Tuesday in Lakeport.
White beat Anderson Valley”s Emilio Torales, who, trailing 7-5, 1-0, retired in the second set because of an injury. Secrest held off Stella Day 7-6 (7-5) in the first set of their second singles match before breezing 6-1 in the second set.
Anderson Valley registered wins in third singles, where Dylon Bently beat Hayden Gilbert 6-4, 6-1; in first doubles, where John Paula and Ras Smith defeated Tony Valdez and Patrick Yates 6-4, 6-4; and in second doubles, where Sidney Frazer and Madelin Gasaway beat Claire Mansell and Darcy McCormack 6-1, 6-0.
The Cardinals host Willits today at 4 p.m.
