Well now I have really heard it all. I can not even imagine someone being so cruel because they are bored. I can not understand why the one teacher did not act on this by calling the police and parents herself.

Her actions were wrong to not do the right thing. These two girls did not get enough punishment as far as I am concerned. I think mental issues are at the base of their actions. I think further into this situation and wonder if they had a baby would they get bored and zap it ? Warped minds do not go away and only get worse as time goes. Look at our prisons and all the women in them and how they got there.

Is it to late for the dinged minds of these girls and what about all the students that knew about it? Where were the minds at with them?

I venture to say they could care less about life if they close their minds to this horrid torture these two girls did to the hamster. What kind of society are we bringing up that keeps their mouths shut and turns a deaf ear on this type of horrible situation?

Truly, I think concealing and strenuous work in the community could serve a good purpose in getting these inhumane girls back in the right direction. Keep in mind that they might get bored again and do worse damage yet. I am deeply ashamed of these inhumane deeds they have done.

What light does this shed on our community -bored teenagers? That draws another thought to the needs of Clearlake. We need things for our kids to do and parents that keep the kids busy . We need a program in Clearlake that lets teens do hospitality work just to give them a edge on boredom. What ever happened to the candy stripers for hospitals or nursing homes? A charitable job shows so much towards maturity and the rewards are great .
