LOWER LAKE — Tyler Lawson allowed just one hit as the Cloverdale Eagles beat the Lower Lake Trojans 6-2 in North Central League I interlock varsity baseball action on Monday in Lower Lake.
Cloverdale staked Lawson to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, more than enough for the senior. He allowed a run-scoring single to Lower Lake”s Steve Miller in the bottom of the second and went on to strike out 10 and walk two.
Mitch Delfino went 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run home run for the Eagles.
Cloverdale added to its lead with two runs in the fifth and another in the sixth. Lower Lake (3-8) picked up a run in the bottom of the seventh.
