PETALUMA — St. Vincent hit three home runs on a windy day in Petaluma, which is almost every day, and beat the Middletown Mustangs 12-2 in a North Central League I interlock junior varsity baseball game on Wednesday afternoon.
“St. Vincent is a good ballclub,” Middletown coach Charles Russ said. “They have a pretty solid program.”
Losing pitcher Eric Schenk worked the first four innings in the five-inning game, struck out five and walked two. Kyle Harmyk finished up in the fifth, striking out one and walking two.
Dustin Rudiger led the Mustangs (6-3-1) at the plate and on the basepaths, going 2-for-2 with a RBI and two stolen bases.
