LAKEPORT — You too will be tapping your toes as you watch the performance of more than 200 dancers from around Lake County perform in Lake County Arts Council”s 27th annual Spring Dance Festival, “Can”t Stop the Beat.”

Each year we are delighted to present wonderfully new talent in both dance and choreography, and this year”s festival will present a smorgasbord of dance that includes clogging, tap, traditional and lyrical jazz, ballet, ballroom, Tango and hip-hop. Now, that”s quite a line up of entertainment.

Two performances will be held for this popular Lake County event at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the Marge Alakszay Center in Lakeport. Doors open one half hour before each performance.

Advance ticket sales are $12 for general admission; $10 for LCAC members, seniors, students and handicapped; and children younger than 12 are $8. Tickets are $1 more at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Wild About Books in Clearlake and at the Main Street Gallery at 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport.

A limited number of reserved seats at $15 are only available at the Main Street Gallery. Parent passes are available to the parents of youthful performers who must accompany their children to each performance and are available only from choreographers and dance teachers.
