LAKE COUNTY — The Konocti Bay Sailing Club recently held its 24th annual Konocti Cup, a 26-mile yacht race on Clear Lake.
Boats from the Bay Area were among those taking part. The first to finish was the Henderson 30 boat “Family Hour.” The corrected winner for the second year in a row was Ben Landon (Richmond Yacht Club) on his Thompson 23 “Flight Risk.”
“Family Hour” out of the Richmond Yacht Club was second overall and Pat Brown”s Melges 24 “Flashpoint” of the Konocti Bay Sailing Club came in third.
First to finish among the multi-hulls was Bill Erkelens” Tornado 20 Cat “E2.”
In the half-cup race (13 miles), Ray Proffit of Oregon came in first on his Balboa 26 “Lusty.”
