LAKEPORT — Ryan Grady pitched 4 1/3 innings for the win and Tyler Beets went 3-for-3 with three RBIs as Clear Lake roughed up the Cloverdale Eagles 7-1 in a North Central League I South junior varsity baseball game Tuesday in Lakeport.

“It was a really strong performance,” Clear Lake assistant coach Chuck Mansell said of the Cardinals” 15th win in 17 games this season.

Beets and Jason Edwards followed Grady to the mound and mopped up. Grady struck out five and walked two.

Bryan Edwards went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Cardinals, now 3-1 in the South standings.

Clear Lake can avenge its lone league loss Friday at home against the St. Vincent Mustangs at 4 p.m.
