SEBASTOPOL — The combined Clear Lake/Kelseyville swim team turned its best performance of the season on Thursday as both the boys and girls scored lopsided wins over El Molino High School of Forestville in the final Sonoma County League meet of the season.

The boys beat El Molino 86-41 and the girls won 92-40, their first league win.

“It was our best day,” Clear Lake/Kelseyville coach Dave Andre said. “The boys had a great day and did a good job. The girls did great ? they didn”t think they had won.”

The boys won eight events and the girls nine as both teams tuned up for the league finals May 16-17 in Petaluma.

Boys

Jeffery Mulligan won the 500-yard freestyle in a personal-best 5 minutes, 52 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 2:08 to lead the Clear Lake boys. He also swam a leg on the Cardinals” winning 400 freestyle relay team, joining Lucas Thompson, Thomas Esberg and Mason McGee.

Guy Conger also had two firsts, winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:11 and the 200 individual medley in 2:28. Connor Sullivan added another first in the 100 backstroke (1:14).

The Cardinals also topped the field in the 200 medley relay (Sullivan, Conger, George Weiss and Ethan Miller) and in the 200 freestyle relay (Weiss, Sullivan, Conger and Miller).

Girls

Amanda Ray and Annie Gall each won two events in the girls” competition. Ray”s firsts came in the 100 backstroke (1:21) and 200 freestyle, which she completed in a personal-best 2:32. Gall won the 50 freestyle (29.14 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (1:07).

Other individual winners were Danielle Peterson in the 200 individual medley (3:23) and Rachel Stanley in the 100 breaststroke (1:29.03).

Clear Lake also won three relays. Gall, Rachel Stanley, Elena Stanley and Logan Brodnansky teamed up to win the 200 medley relay (2:28), and Gall, Ray, Elena Stanley and Rachel Stanley finished first in the 200 freestyle relay (2:07).

The Cardinals” also won the 400 freestyle relay (Aria Tomkins, Ariel Facey, Elizabeth Esberg and Valentina Hernandez) in 5:30.
