Sometimes during our busy lives in what is a world that has seemingly become a little more harsh, a little more gruff and just plain tougher, it seems that we sometimes forget about watching out for those around us.
Amongst all the stories out there about all the ills around us, I just wanted to add a little footnote with a happy ending, and to, in some small way, recognize that there are still many wonderful folks out there.
Due to a case of foolishness on the lake, my son found himself in a life-threatening, precarious position early Tuesday evening.
That”s when some other folks became important to the story. What they did was take an interest, take the time, and act in a manner which now allows my wife and I to take comfort in the fact that our son is safe in bed right now while I am typing this email.
Had it not been for these “good samaritans” this story would quite probably have had a different ending.
Our thanks go to Al and his wife, a couple of fishermen and a kid named Mike ? and anyone else that may have had a part in helping our son.
Thank you.
