MIDDLETOWN — Middletown Youth Football is holding its second annual Mike Hoefer Be a Force Football Clinic on May 31 in Middletown.
Hoefer was part of the inaugural camp but died unexpectedly last year of a heart attack. The clinic has been named in his honor.
More than 40 coaches and 180 players participated in last year”s camp. The cost is $20 per coach with a maximum of $100 per coaching staff. The cost per player is $20.
The morning session is for coaches only and will be held in classrooms. You may attend any of the sessions you like. Coaches join players on the field during the afternoon session.
Among those coaches participating in this year”s camp are:
— Gordon Sadler, longtime head varsity football coach at Lower Lake, and an assistant at both Middletown High School and Mendocino College.
— Michael White, former assistant coach at Lower Lake, Boise State University, Long Beach State and University of New Mexico, and head coach at Reedley Community College where he was named National Community College Coach of the Year.
