I would like to throw some praise at the Lake County Sheriff”s Department. I have a vacation house on Cobb Mountain, and there has been some recent problems with unwanted visitors. The contacting officer, John Drewrey, called me within about 15-20 minutes of my non-emergency call. I explained the issues and he offered to have patrol stops stepped up.
I have been trading emails with Officer Drewrey over the ongoing problems, and he has gone up to my property and physically checked the buildings. Instead of just checking and writing a report he called me while still on the property asking for my take on things he thought were not right. Today when I came up and found some more problems I emailed him just to let him know and to document it. I mentioned a visit was not necessary. Well to my surprise he stopped by later since he had a call in the area.
This is not someone who is going through the motions and doing the bare minimum of his job. I truly feel Officer Drewrey is going the extra mile to help me. So often people in service positions only hear when things go wrong, well, I feel this is a time when things went right and deserved an acknowledgement.
