LOWER LAKE — Spring this year promises to be full of good things. Flowers, warm sunshine and ? “Sweet Charity?” That”s right, once again Tracy Lahr has brought together students from Oak Hill Middle School, Lower Lake High School and Carl? for the much-anticipated annual musical production.

Set in New York during the 1960s, “Sweet Charity” is a swingin” comedy that follows the story of an idealistic dance hall hostess looking for love in all the wrong places. With famous show stopping numbers such as “Hey, Big Spender” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” audience members are bound to dance in their seats as they enjoy the amazing young talent that comprises the cast.

The show truly has been a collaborative effort as it features students from grades seven to 12, the direction of Tracy Lahr, choreography by Lower Lake Elementary”s Michelle Johns and is funded in part by many local businesses. Anyone willing to invest in this experience (and the students that it benefits) will be greatly appreciated and recognized in the program.

Another great way to show your support is to attend a performance. Opening night is 7 p.m. Friday, May 30, followed at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 31 and the closing performance will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1. All performances will held at Lower Lake High School in the multipurpose room.
