COUNTY PARK — Friel Law rallied in its final at-bat to hand Press Democrat its first loss of the season, 10-9, in women”s league softball action on Tuesday at County Park.
Friel Law scored five times in the bottom of the seventh to wipe out a 9-5 deficit. With the game tied at 9 and one out, Press Democrat intentionally walked Jessica Taliaferro to load the bases. Lori Kincaid thwarted the strategy by singling home Irma Rodriguez with the winning run.
Ann Brown pitched Friel Law to the win and Jeannie Strak led the winners at the plate, going 3-for-3.
