Just after 2 p.m. Thursday Clearlake Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Austin Drive near Mullen Avenue in Clearlake. A 17 year-old girl was found dead in the street. Her name was withheld at press time.
Gabrielle Varney, 18, allegedly admitted stabbing the victim and was taken in to custody after being interviewed in a home near by, according to a press release provided by the Clearlake Police Department.
