SEBASTOPOL — After splitting a season-opening doubleheader with Kelseyville on Saturday, the Lakeport Joe DiMaggio baseball team pounded Analy 17-4 in a game called after five innings on Sunday in Sebastopol.
Freddy Olloqui went the distance on the mound for Lakeport and was backed by a powerful attack that included a 4-for-4 day with three RBIs by Mark Williams. Olloqui, Josh Bouthier and Noel McCormack added three hits apiece. Olloqui also had three RBIs and Bouthier had two.
Lakeport players with two hits were Ryan Richardson, Bryan Edwards, Matt Andrade, Josh King and Dustin Arevalos. Richardson, Edwards and Andrade all had two RBIs.
Olloqui allowed six hits and three earned runs while striking out three.
During Saturday”s action at Lakeport, Lakeport beat Kelseyville 8-0 in game one, but Kelseyville came back to win the second game 8-3.
In the first game, winning pitcher Josh King tossed a one-hitter and struck out eight. He also helped his own cause by going 1-for-2 with a RBI.
Arevalos and Richardson led Lakeport at the plate, each going 2-for-3 with a RBI. McCormack went 1-fo-1 with two RBIs.
Brandon Nielson had Kelseyville”s lone hit.
In game two, Kelseyville”s Mike Duman scattered five hits, allowed one earned run and struck out 10.
Justin Lilly went 3-for-5 and Nielson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs to spark Kelseyville at the plate. Michael Davis added two hits and Duman went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Arevalos went 3-for-3 and Alan Moses went 1-for-3 with a double for Clear Lake. Bouthier had the other Lakeport hit.
Losing pitcher Edwards struck out four and walked four.
Lakeport (2-1) travels to Santa Rosa on Saturday for a doubleheader against Cardinal Newman. First pitch is 11 a.m.
