LAKEPORT — Vintage and historic hydroplanes and racing runabouts will be on display June 21 at Library Park in Lakeport as NorCal Ski races are held on Clear Lake.

Ten to fifteen vintage race boats will be on display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

The water ski races include divisions for children, seniors and veteran racers. Skiers will be towed by high-powered runabouts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thirty-five vintage race boats visited Lakeport for the first time last September. Many of those same boats are returning June 21.

The purpose of the Vintage Race Boat show is to share information about a common interest and to inform the public about racing history and the background of vintage and historic powerboats.

Vintage race boats are any restored or replicated racers built before 1986. Historic race boats were built before 1941. Exhibitors are eager to share information about the distinguished history of former boats and drivers.
