What is going on with gas prices in California?

First we are told gas prices are high because the demand exceeded supply (sounds like price gouging to me). Then we are told they are high because there was too little gas being purchased so they needed to raise prices to keep their bottom line up. Frankly, I don”t care about their bottom line. It”s too high anyway. THEN ? we are told some counties are being charged more because it costs more to transport gas to them.

When it came up that entire states that are receiving gas from other states have cheaper gas ? then we are told that states such as California (a supplier state) pay more for gas because we make more, so now we are told it is income driven per locality. (More price gouging) Obviously there is gas price manipulation going on as evidenced by the rotation of excuses, and suspiciously the lack of any meaningful action on the part of our so-called representatives in government. Gas needs to have commodity regulation at this point

We are being taken for weak chumps ? and I guess we are. Until our politicians have no income interest in oil production and distribution, things will only get worse. They”re getting theirs, so why should they care if we don”t like it. Losing office won”t stop the dividends.
