W.C. Carle High School Principal Bill MacDougall announced he will hold a candlelight vigil for former student Heather Valdez, who was allegedly stabbed by fellow student Gabrielle Varney June 5.
The vigil will be held at Austin Park in Clearlake on June 19 at 8:30 p.m. MacDougall said it is “a celebration of a community in healing and kindness.”
MacDougall said each attendee is asked to bring a candle.
