I read with mild interest the letter from Dan McNevin (Record-Bee, June 13).
If his allegations were true, then I share in his anger over that abuse. However there is an awful lot of “me tooism” going around. The Catholic Church has deep pockets and many accusers in the past have proven to be only concerned with monitory compensation. They were unconcerned with damaging the reputation of innocent priests who were accused. Suggesting that Fr. Ted Oswald”s supporters remain silent so that justice can prevail has nothing to do with justice, and everything to do with suppressing the public support of those of us who know Fr. Ted. We have every right to be vocal about our respect for this man. So listen up! There is a huge din of voices of those who believe in him.
