Why the rush to gay marriage?

To read the papers, to watch the dramatic opening minutes of TV newscasts, the flocking of tens of thousands of lesbians and gays at this time in California alone to the altar – would seem to indicate the presence of some kind of emergency – is there one? You bet.

The world”s population is about to reach a total of seven times the number – one billion – that it comprised just in 1900. And that was after a half-million years of very slow growth. According to the Population Reference Bureau, inhabitants of Planet Earth now add up to 6.7 billion. The majority of the world”s scientists predict that this number will reach 13 billion in fifty years. Folks, that is too many. One billion people are starving today. Add to the current global food crisis terrible water shortages and rapidly spreading drought and we face catastrophe – we face nothing less than the end of civilization.

Where is the outcry?
