LAKE COUNTY — Boat inspection stickers are available free through June 30, according to a press release from the Lake County Economic Development Department.
In an effort to prevent the spread of quagga and zebra mussels to Lake County”s water bodies, the Lake County Invasive Species Inspection Program requires all vessels to have the stickers before launching.
County residents can get stickers at the Department of Public Works on the third floor of the Lake County Courthouse in Lakeport between 8 a.m. and 5 pm. Monday-Friday, at the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, and at the Lake County Visitor Center on Highway 20 in Lucerne.
