Each of us has our own feelings regarding the gas pump and tax breaks. Well, an incentive check for $600.00 for the poor and a $1200.00 for the working poor (who might earn more than $2500.00 a month) doesn”t even equal the interest earned off of every tax dollar we pay.
Furthermore, you can bet your bottom dollar that the very wealthy members of our society have saved many more dollars with the tax shelters afforded them, than many of us will realize in our life times.
I don”t begrudge the rich their fat bank accounts; I just think it”s time for our Government to stop sticking it to those of us, who carry this nation on our backs ? that would be the working poor ? who can”t even afford medical, dental, vision, or the visit to emergency room.
