LOWER LAKE — Three out-of-county residents were arrested for alcohol-related charges after a rollover crash on Highway 29 just south of Spruce Grove Road Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Nikke Buschman, 33, or Oroville, rolled his 1999 VW Jetta after he was unable to negotiate a left curve in the road and lost control, according to a Tuesday CHP press release. Buschman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and CHP officer Steve Tanguay is investigating the accident.
Joseph Pounds, 28, of Bakersfield, was traveling with Buschman, and was following in a 2001 Kia SUV behind Buschman when the accident happened. Pounds pulled over to help Buschman and was also arrested for suspicion of DUI, according to the CHP report.
Sean Marks, 35, of Santa Rosa, was walking nearby when the accident occurred. Marks had been drinking, according to the CHP report, but was arrested for a parole violation.
