As out-of-towners, we found the drive, gasoline price and all, very worthwhile for Lakeport”s Fourth of July celebration. It was well-organized, and the crowd mannerly and having fun. This is so reminiscent of earlier small town celebrations and an event not easily found these days. Congratulations to all of those in charge of the arrangements.
The fireworks were awesome, and the lighted boats a treat.
