GREATER KELSEYVILLE — A tremendous trifecta of talent will take place at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa on Friday, where Collective Soul, Live and Blues Traveler take the stage at the outdoor amphitheater on majestic Clear Lake sharing co-headlining slots.
Collective Soul is one of the original grunge bands. This band from Stockbridge, Georgia has created original tracks, cutting its own path since the ”90s. Collective Soul”s latest CD “Afterwords” was released last year, debuting in the Top 25 album charts and Top 10 iTunes chart the first week out.
The members of the band Live are from York, Penn. and began performing together in middle-school in 1985. Live with its powerful sound is still together 22 years later. Live boasts total CD sales exceeding 20 million. To the band”s credit, a haunting life and death ballad titled “Lightening Crashes,” is a staple for fans of all ages.
Blues Traveler is a rock/ blues/jam quartet from New York City. The band has a new album set for release in August. The rich vibe of the harmonica is a trademark sound for Blues Traveler, recognized for the revival of an extended jamming style reminiscent of the music popularized in the ”60s and ”70s, with obvious influences such as the Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin. The song “Run-around” became one of the biggest hits in the ”90s and exemplifies the happy and soulful style of Blues Traveler.
The diversity of musical styles and genres represented is a rare blend to catch all in one evening.
