CLEARLAKE ? The Lake County Community Co-Op is in need of volunteers to assist it in various capacities.

At the committee”s Saturday, July 12, meeting, education committee representative Allen Markowski said he needs volunteers to help him in surveying members” computer knowledge and equipment in order to improve members” access to the Wiki site.

Markowski said he would also like assistance with lining up speakers to make presentations during the educational segment of the co-op”s monthly meetings and with recording and editing video for broadcast on PEG Channel TV8.

Patrick Kenna, co-op treasurer, said that the first buyers” club pick-up on Thursday, July 10, went beautifully thanks to volunteers. Kenna said he needs volunteers at the managerial level to coordinate taking payments and memberships as well as inventory management.

Buyers” club pick-up will continue each Thursday.

If you are not a member of the buyers” club, please bring membership payment with you at the time of pick-up: $24 per year, payable in $2-per-month installments.

The weekly Friday Night Farmers” Market continues needing volunteers to help with set-up and tear down, as well as manning a co-op booth. Market hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. each Friday at Austin Park in Clearlake.
