LAKE COUNTY ? According a press release from the County of Lake Public Services Department, the Ely Stage Stop remodel project on Soda Bay Road between the Riviera subdivision and Kit”s Corner was “hit by theives” last week in a statement prepared by Kim Clymire, public services director.
The release alleges that approximately $5,000 worth of tools were stolen from a locked and barricaded cargo container being used for project tools.
Anyone with information regarding theft of compressors, Skil Saws, tool belts, climbing ropes, harnesses, hand tools as well as miscellaneous other tools is encouraged to notify the Lake County Sheriff”s Office at 263-2690 or Public Services at 262-1618.
Clymire is offering a cash reward to anyone able to provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing this equipment.
