LAKEPORT — “Little Women” will start at 7:30 p.m. (even though the tickets say 7) and will bring everyone to their feet cheering … after they have dried their eyes, of course. Set in the Civil War era where hoop skirts and gentle manners were the order of the day, this production in the Soper-Reese will delight the eye as well as the emotions.

“Little Women,” a lake County Repertory Theater, Lakeport Players joint production, offers something for everyone: For the gentlemen, there are strong male characters, soldiers and sword fights. For the ladies there are mothers and daughters, romance and the issues of growing up. For children, there are 10 kids under the age of 10…behaving just the way you would expect kids to behave.

This production offers laughter and tears, dancing and prat-falls…and a cast of 30 talented performers…yes, something for everyone. Don”t miss this summertime treat!

The performances of “Little Women” are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8,9,15 and 16 and 2 p.m. Aug. 9,10,16 and 17. Although some tickets for the production may be available at the door, advanced purchase of tickets is recommended as they are going fast.
