Grapes, construction or population growth?
Oh, Holly, you have such wonderful ideas (Record Bee, July 23). No more construction and no more grapes. But wait. What are the Lake County Special Districts, the Board of Supervisors, the politicos, the planning commissions, etc. going to do without grapes and construction? The thought of what they might come up with makes me shudder.
So what to do? You can”t take away all their toys, so what are you going to let them play with – grapes or construction? Keep in mind that grapes don”t drive noisy polluting cars, play loud boom boxes, form gangs, graffiti buildings, or beat up people in the park. Grapes are quiet neighbors, don”t obstruct your view, and are pleasant to consume. So give me the choice of the grapes or more population growth, I”ll take the grapes.
