LAKE COUNTY– Information on a vehicle versus pedestrian accident occurring Sunday at approximately 10:40 p.m. states that a 34-year-old woman pedestrian from Ukiah was struck and killed on Highway 29, south of Doten Road at Manning Flat, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.
Eric Nelson,50, of Kelseyville was driving a 2006 KIA SUV on Highway 29 northbound toward Kelseyville. The pedestrian was walking northbound on the east shoulder adjacent to the northbound lane. As of press time the victim”s name was being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Nelson and his passengers were not reported as being injured. The cause of the fatal accident is under investigation by Officer Randy Forslund, according to a press release written by public affairs officer Adam Garcia, CHP Clear Lake area.
