LUCERNE — Local artists are opening studios in the new Harbor Village Artist Complex, 6197 E. Highway 20 in Lucerne.
The Lake County Redevelopment Agency sent letters earlier this year inviting artists to rent studio space. The Harbor Village Artist Complex is located next to the boat-launching facility at Lucerne Harbor Park. The Lake County Visitors Bureau is located across the street.

Gourd Gallery
Known for her unique gourd art, artist and teacher Jeri Lyn Nager will be at the Gourd Gallery, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26, to discuss the many facets of gourd art and how to create a one of a kind piece of art. For information, call the Gourd Gallery at 274-2346
Konocti Art Gallery
Konocti Art Gallery/studio features the work of Lake County resident artists Joan Facca, Ray Farrow, Meredith Gambrel and Richard Seisser. These artists are exhibiting their works of art created in acrylic, alkyd, oil and pastel.
You are invited to visit them in the gallery/studio from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. In addition to the exhibit of art these artists will be presenting, demonstrations of their individual techniques, classes and workshops by resident and visiting artists.
Lakeside Arts
Lakeside Art has now opened its doors to the public at 6195 E. Highway 20. The blue and white cottage includes paintings in oil, watercolor, gouache, pen/ink; hand painted silks and tiles; original jewelry, prints, gift cards and even monthly poetry readings.
The shop is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday. Artists include Barbara LaVasser, Joe Schopplein, Carolyn Hawley, Carolyn Morris, Diana Liebe, Ruth Morgan, Lynn Hughs and Lorna Sue Sides.
