CLEARLAKE — Second Sunday Cinema”s second free film for August is “The Reflecting Pool.” This film is not a documentary, but is “an investigative drama questioning the official version of 9/11.”
In this film, investigative reporter Alex Prokop (Jarek Kupsc) is assigned a story on 9/11. Alex, a Russian emigre, is still na?ve enough to believe that the US news media are free and above the distortion of facts. But he reluctantly joins with a grieving and truth-seeking father (Joseph Culp) who is relentless in wanting to know what really happened on the day his daughter died. Together, they seek and find answers ? and trouble.
This film was conceived, written and directed by, and stars Jarek Kupsc. Kupsc, currently touring the U.S., will be present at this screening to do a Q&A with audience members, along with his wife, producer Jodie Baltazar.
