PINEHURST, N.C. — Former Kelseyville High School golfer Jonathan Carlson fired a 7-over-par 77 Monday in the opening round of the U.S. Amateur Golf Championship at Pinehurst.
Carlson is tied for 228th place. The field will be cut to the top 64 golfers after today”s second round.
The field was divided between Pinehurst courses No. 2 and No. 4. Carlson played on Pinehurst Course No. 4.
