COUNTY PARK — Jenny Feeney tossed a five-hitter and Marcy Donaldson and Brandie McRae each had four hits as Griffin”s Furniture beat No. 1 seed Superior Seamless Gutters 13-1 on Wednesday to win the crown in the women”s division of the Lake County Adult Softball Association at County Park.
The two teams split the first two games in the best-of-three championship series. Griffin”s Furniture won game one 12-9 and Superior Seamless, undefeated in the regular season, won game two 18-8.
McRae went 4-for-5 with a triple and five RBIs to lead Griffin”s and Donaldson went 4-for-6 with two RBIs. Laura Scott added three hits and a RBI.
Tammi Mendonca led Superior Seamless with a double and home run.
