LAKE COUNTY — Austin & Owens, the Neo Flamenco Duo, have come a long way this year, thanks to the support and receptiveness of Lake County. They graced the airwaves on Aug. 9 with their community radio debut on KPFZ 88.1 FM. This hour-long show including performances and an interview by Dan Dan the Solar Man can be purchased from the radio station for $5; proceeds benefit the station.
The community will have more opportunities to catch some upcoming performances with the duo this year. Austin & Owens will be at the Pear Festival in Kelseyville, on Sept.27, performing from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Oak Tree Stage. Austin & Owens have been diligently working away on their self-produced debut album. It will feature all original material, an array of acoustic guitar virtuosity, and cement “Neo Flamenco” as a new genre of music. Once the entire album is complete the duo will move on to promote to record agencies and talent agencies alike.
