In choosing Sarah Palin, John McCain made an expedient and cynical decision. Does he think Americans are ready to vote for just any woman?
Gov. Palin may be intelligent and up-and-coming on the political horizon but she is certainly unprepared to help lead us out of the abysmal situation we find ourselves in after eight years of Republican “leadership.”
We need our president and vice president to be well-versed and competent in dealing with the economy and foreign leaders and open to hearing the views and meeting the needs of all Americans not just the ones who believe as they do.
I haven”t heard Palin”s views on education or health care or foreign policy or economics. I can only assume she”s waiting to be briefed and informed of what her views should be to better serve McCain”s interests. Like him or not, interested and informed voters know where Joe Biden stands on these issues.
Sarah Palin, governor for less that two years of a large state with a small population, is not qualified to be president of the United States in the event of (if elected) John McCain”s incapacitation or death. Far from “decisive,” Gov. Palin flip-flopped on Alaska”s “Bridge to Nowhere” earmark, another example of cynical political ambitions along with her pandering to oil industry interests. So what if the polar bears are fast becoming endangered. What does she think about the environment, our warming earth and the global economy?
I”m all for mothers. I have one and am one myself I had a disabled child I adore, as well. I love hockey moms. My daughter”s one. It was never on my resume, but I, too, was president of the PTA back in the day. I”m not all that interested in her hunting abilities or marksmanship or family. I want to know Sarah Palin”s thoughts on how she would uphold the Constitution and preserve our country, our way of life and the planet so that all of our children can have hope for the future.
