While I completely agree with Senator and Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama that families members should be out of bound for critics, this ethical consideration has not always been complied with by the party that is now under scrutiny.
Everyone has been fair game to them thanks to such commentators as Russ Limbaugh, Bill O”Reiley and Ann Coulter, they have ravaged young people like Chelsa Clinton, made light of the 9/11 widows and challenged the disenfranchised desperate people of New Orleans when they were made homeless by Hurricane Katrina.
In their zeal for a moral country, they have missed two of Christ”s admonitions; “Let him who is within sin, cast the first stone”, and “physician, heal thyself. Professing to be family oriented, they have divorced wives who were not advantageous to their careers, refused to recognize those families who are not traditional, and have indulged privately in practices they have condemned publicly.
Now, the tide has turned, and it appears that those who speak of traditional family and abstinence are concerned about everyone”s morals except their own.
Since chagrin and shame are unknown to them, we can only hope that voters will not forget this blatant hypocrisy along with the scandals perpetuated by the Bush administration.
