LAKE COUNTY — The Detroit rap-rock star who brought pride to the park — trailer park that is ? will be on the outdoor stage at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa playing to a seats crammed, sold-out venue Saturday night.

Kid Rock boasts hits like “Bawitaba,” “Cowboy,” “Picture (with Sheryl Crow),” plus newer tracks “Lowlife (Living the Highlife),” and “Rock ”n” Roll Jesus,” from the album with the same name.

Kid Rock, born Robert J. Ritchie, is also known for his torrid romance, marriage and consequent divorce with Pamela Anderson.

He is immortalized in a bit part in the 2001 hit movie Joe Dirt acting opposite David Spade. Kid Rock plays Robby, Joe Dirt”s bullying, muscle car-driving nemesis.

The multi-faceted musician is also involved with the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon and the U.S.O., an organization that supports U.S. Troops for the last 66 years, popularized most by the late Bob Hope.

Kid Rock”s recent Live Trucker album sports a cover reminiscent of Bob Seger and Silver Bullet band. Seger is also native of Detroit. A raw, raucous, raspy good time should be afoot.
