UPPER LAKE — Jackie Lovrin”s eight kills and six aces helped the Upper Lake Cougars make quick work of the Fort Bragg Timberwolves, 25-21-25-19, 25-15, in a North Central League I interlock varsity volleyball match on Friday in Upper Lake.

Hannah Johnson added 10 kills and seven digs and setter Brandy Claunch had 20 assists and four aces as Upper Lake improved to 2-1.

“We played like veterans and didn”t let mistakes bother us,” Upper Lake coach Sandy Coatney said. “They just kept getting better.”

Fort Bragg won the junior varsity match 25-15, 25-16.

The Cougars host Lower Lake on Thursday.
