LOWER LAKE — E.J. Jermany rushed for 131 yards and scored four touchdowns on Friday night as the Lower Lake Trojans beat the St. Helena Saints 36-20 in a North Central League I interlock junior varsity football game at Gordon Sadler Field.

Jermany rushed for three scores and caught a fourth on a 51-yard pass from quarterback Joe Taylor, who completed four of seven passes for 130 yards.

Anchoring the Lower Lake defense was middle linebacker Jordan Deakins, who had 12 tackles. Justin Bobbitt added seven tackles.

Lower Lake improved to 2-0 on the season, equaling its win total from last season (2-8).

“I have 24 players back from last year,” Lower Lake coach Jim Salmina said. “My starters didn”t even play that much.”

Lower Lake took a 36-6 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Trojans host Upper Lake (0-2) on Friday night at 5:30 p.m.
