I can”t believe it almost three months to pass the state budget. A lot of California residents, including myself, weren”t too happy about taking so long to pass a budget. They should have started working on the budget before the July 1 deadline as the deadline is known to be July 1 every year.
So how much did it cost the people of California by the budget taking almost three months to pass. I think that all of the legislature should lose a day”s pay for everyday the budget doesn”t pass on time. I don”t like the idea of a one-cent sales tax, but it would help close the deficit of California. I think they should have imposed it and included it in the budget.
