KELSEYVILLE — Students between the ages of 9-18 who have passed a physical exam are eligible to participate in a youth boxing program sponsored by the Lake County Sheriff”s Activity League.

Workout sessions are held twice each week. Competitive boxing is optional. Sign-ups take place Oct. 7 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church Youth Hall.

The Lake County Sheriff”s Activity League depends on volunteer board members and volunteer activity leaders. If you have a special interest or skill that you would like to share with the youth of Lake County, call Dave Borjon at 279-1050. Volunteers can specify the day, time and duration of the activity they wish to lead. Volunteers can also stipulate the number and ages of children who can sign up.

Leaders for one-day craft sessions are also being sought. The club owns several sewing machines and needs a volunteer to hold a beginning sewing class. All programs are fully insured.
